The Pittsburgh Steelers' T.J. Watt is a force to be reckoned with on the football field, but his family life is equally as fascinating. T.J. isn't the only football star in his family; he has two brothers, J.J. and Derek, who are also professional football players. But here's where it gets controversial... While T.J. is a star for the Steelers, J.J. and Derek have had very different careers. J.J. Watt, the eldest brother, was a multi-sport athlete in high school, excelling in football, baseball, basketball, and track and field. He went on to play tight end for Central Michigan University before transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he played defensive end. J.J. was drafted by the Houston Texans in 2011 and played for them for ten seasons before retiring in 2022. Derek Watt, on the other hand, played fullback for the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers (now the Los Angeles Chargers) in 2016. While both brothers have had successful careers, they have had very different paths. But the brothers have always supported each other, even when they were on opposing teams. In 2023, both T.J. and J.J. made the top three spots for the 'most sacks in the first 100 career games', with T.J. in second place and J.J. in third. J.J. shared on X (formerly Twitter): 'We grew up in Wisconsin, idolizing Reggie White. If you told us that someday a stat like this would exist, we wouldn't believe you. Pretty damn cool.'
